About the California Artisan Cheese Guild
MISSION
The California Artisan Cheese Guild is an organization designed to support and encourage the California cheesemaking community. This is accomplished by supporting the on-going education of cheesemakers and consumers, sharing resources, and celebrating the art and dedication to quality cheese.
Membership is open to any individual with an interest in California cheese, including, farmstead, artisan and specialty cheesemakers, small dairy producers, retailers, suppliers, chefs, and cheese enthusiasts.
To this end, the Guild:
Celebrates Cheese
- Aromas rich in the essence of California's carefully tended fields and farms.
- Textures created in the finest cheese, made from the finest milk.
- Tastes so complex and unique, they can only come from California:
- The tangy brightness of goat-milk cheese
- The sweet fullness of cow-milk cheese
- The nutty, buttery richness of sheep-milk cheese
- The sweet creaminess of water buffalo-milk cheese
